WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE?

Start with what you need to make.

From hospitality and tourism to beauty, packaging and industrial components, find a starting point for your next product.

Choose an application to start the discussion. We assess feasibility, agree the specification and testing plan, and confirm costs before the next stage. Product claims must be supported by relevant formulation and finished-product tests.

THE RIGHT MATERIAL FOR THE JOB

Material choices with a purpose.

Choose materials that suit your process, deliver the required performance and last for the intended service life. We help you assess the options and plan the testing.

CORE COMMERCIAL FOCUS

TPS & starch-based blends

Source thermoplastic starch (TPS) pellets or develop a formulation for your process. We confirm the grade, required performance and supply terms before you commit. TPS/PLA blends and finished products require separate development and testing.

Biodegradability and compostability claims apply only to the documented formulation, product and specified conditions. Collection and treatment must be planned.

DURABLE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Biobased + PCR compounds

Develop durable products using suitable combinations of biobased polymers and post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. We use your durability, finish and moisture-resistance requirements to guide formulation and trials.

Specify biobased and recycled content separately. These compounds are not automatically biodegradable or compostable; design for service life and an appropriate recovery route.

CORE FORMULATION EXPERTISE

Functional additives for your application

Develop the colour, texture, finish and processing characteristics your product needs. Our formulation work combines polymer and additive selection with trials to assess compatibility and targeted functions, including antistatic performance, heat resistance and barrier properties.

Claims about antimicrobial activity, antistatic performance, heat resistance or barrier properties require evidence specific to the application.

AGRICULTURAL WASTE & FEEDSTOCK VALORISATION

Give local by-products a new role.

Explore new material uses for agricultural, food-processing and wood-processing residues. We assess sugarcane bagasse, eggshells, seashells, rice husks, spent coffee grounds, used tea leaves, cocoa bean shells and pod husks, coconut husks, coir pith, coconut fibre and sawdust as potential ingredients, fillers or additives for new materials. This process is known as feedstock valorisation.

Other feedstock sources to explore

Crop & field residues (primary)
  • Straw and stalks: Wheat straw, rice straw, corn stalks and cotton stalks left after harvest.
  • Leaves and prunings: Vine prunings, orchard trimmings and sugarcane tops.
Fruit & vegetable processing waste (secondary)
  • Pomace: Skins, pulp and seeds left after fruit pressing or processing, including grape pomace from wineries, apple pomace and tomato skins and seeds.
  • Citrus peels: Orange, lemon and lime peels from commercial juice processing; a potential source of pectin.
  • Off-grade or culled produce: Fruits and vegetables rejected because of cosmetic imperfections.
Grain & seed milling by-products
  • Corn cobs: The central cores of corn ears, with uses ranging from biobased chemicals to animal bedding and fuel.
  • Bran, hulls and shells: Wheat bran, oat hulls and peanut shells separated during milling and processing.
  • Oilcakes and meals: Solid residues from oil extraction, including soybean meal, sunflower oilcake and palm kernel cake.
Industrial food-processing by-products
  • Whey: The liquid by-product remaining after milk curdles during cheese production.
  • Molasses: A thick syrup produced as a by-product of refining sugarcane or sugar beet into sugar.
  • Brewery and distillery residues: Spent brewer’s grains from beer brewing and distillers’ grains from ethanol production.
Livestock & aquaculture processing waste
  • Feathers and bristles: Keratin-rich by-products from poultry and swine processing.
  • Bone residues and meal: Crushed or processed bones from livestock processing, with established uses in fertilisers and animal feed where permitted.
  • Fish trimmings: Heads, tails, fins and frames left after filleting, often processed into fishmeal or fish oil.

Each feedstock needs assessment for composition, cleanliness, consistency and compatibility with the chosen polymer. Formulation and product trials establish suitability before scale-up. These are development opportunities, not a list of validated formulations; environmental benefits require supporting evidence.

FOR BRANDS WITH STANDARDS TO PROTECT

A product your customers recognise as yours.

Give customers a reason to remember and choose your brand. Bring distinctive design, reliable performance and viable production costs into the same product brief.

MATERIALS THAT EXPRESS YOUR BRAND

Distinctive design, developed and made in Thailand.

Create a product with its own identity, using Thai agricultural resources and local manufacturing. We develop texture, finish and shape alongside the material, tooling and production plan.

Develop your signature product →
DESIGNED FOR YOUR BRAND

Move beyond off-the-shelf designs.

A catalogue product can be easy to source, but other brands may choose the same design. Develop a recognisable look through custom shapes, colours, textures and finishes, with materials and performance matched to your brief.

PLAN YOUR STOCK & CASH FLOW

Order around demand, not just a low unit price.

Build your production plan around demand and cash flow. Large overseas orders can tie up working capital and warehouse space before products sell. We assess local production options, from trials and first orders to replenishment, with quantities matched to the project’s economics.

Batch sizes and minimum orders depend on the design, tooling, material availability and production economics. We agree these with you before production.

SEE THE FULL COST

Compare the total cost.

Compare imported and locally produced options on the same basis: product cost, development, tooling, freight, duties, storage and the risk of unsold stock. Choose the route that fits your design, demand and cash flow.

A practical framework for comparing options
Your questionWhat to compareWhat we agree with you
Will it do the job?Performance under the intended temperature, moisture and load conditions, including dimensional requirements where relevant, over the expected service life.Use conditions, acceptance limits and an application test plan.
Is the price justified?Cost per accepted part, freight, storage and cash tied up in stock; for reusable products, cost over the expected service life.Separate costs for materials, development, tooling, testing and supply; assumptions supported by trials.
What happens if a trial fails?Responsibility, retest scope and the next decision before production.A review of the results, clear responsibilities and an agreed decision to correct the issue, continue development or stop.
Can we put our brand on it?Design, colour, finish, consistency and the evidence behind product claims.Approved references and a defined inspection and release plan for the order.
What support follows delivery?Traceability, issue reporting and the agreed route for technical review.Contact points, records, investigation responsibilities and any remedy or warranty terms in the contract.

Quality is a baseline requirement for every project. Where evidence is incomplete, we identify the gap and agree the next test. Cost-saving proposals must preserve essential safety and performance requirements.

THREE CLEAR WAYS TO WORK WITH US

Materials, trials or a complete product programme.

Buy materials, validate an application or develop a product with us. Your proposal sets out the deliverables, testing, responsibilities and price, so you know what comes next.

01 / MATERIAL SUPPLY

Know the material you need?

Source TPS pellets, polymer compounds and functional additives for plastics processing. We confirm grade availability, process requirements, quantities and delivery terms for your enquiry.

  • Define the application, processing method and performance requirements.
  • Agree relevant material documents and inspection requirements.
  • Confirm samples, order terms and repeat-supply conditions.
Discuss material supply →
02 / APPLICATION VALIDATION

Need to test the fit first?

Find out whether a material works for your product before committing to production. A paid development programme gives you a defined test plan, deliverables and a decision on the next step.

  • Define trials, pass/fail limits and testing scope.
  • Evaluate samples, processing and finished-product performance.
  • Review results and agree the next development or approval step.
Plan your paid trial →
03 / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & MANUFACTURING

Need a team to bring it together?

Turn your brief or technical drawings into a finished product or precision plastic component. We coordinate design, materials, tooling, trials and manufacturing, with clear approval stages before production.

  • Agree milestones, deliverables, responsibilities and rights.
  • Define drawings, critical dimensions, tolerances, finish and inspection criteria where relevant.
  • Use in-house capability and qualified specialist partners.
  • Approve the production trial before moving into routine production and repeat supply.
Discuss your product or component →

Look beyond the price per kilogram.

Compare the cost of a finished part that meets your standard. Material use, processing time, scrap, inspection and delivery all affect the result. Your quotation separates development, tooling, testing and manufacturing so you can see where your budget goes.

Quotations depend on grade, volume, formulation, tooling, validation scope and delivery terms. Any yield, lead-time or cost-saving estimate must be supported by the relevant trial data.

OUR QUALITY COMMITMENT

No compromise on quality.

Know what we select, what we accept and what we will not deliver.
Quality is the baseline for every engagement: we define essential safety, performance and finish requirements before work begins.
A lower price or faster deadline does not justify falling below the agreed acceptance criteria.

01 / SPECIFY

Start with the real use conditions

Define temperature and moisture exposure, performance, contact conditions, appearance, service life, cost and options after use. Agree the essential safety and performance criteria before trials.

02 / SELECT

Choose inputs for the job

Review the proposed formulation, ingredient consistency, supplier documentation and process compatibility. A lower input price does not justify a material that fails the agreed requirements.

03 / QUALIFY

Test against agreed pass/fail criteria

Agree how the trial will run, which sample will be tested and what counts as a pass. Check that material results apply to the actual product, its shape and the conditions in which it will be used.

04 / RELEASE

Make acceptance a delivery condition

Agree the inspection plan, lot identification, required records and release criteria for the order. Check the agreed quality characteristics before delivery. Non-conforming work is held for review and corrective action before release; products that fail the agreed requirements are not approved for shipment.

Clear responsibilities before work begins.

Agree who is responsible for materials, tooling, processing, testing, inspection and any rejected work or corrective action. Where feasibility is uncertain, we propose a defined research and development phase first. We decline work that falls outside our capabilities or cannot meet essential requirements.

On-time delivery, planned from the start.

Plan delivery around your launch and stock needs. We agree a schedule covering materials, tooling, approvals, production, inspection and transport. Your project lead tracks milestones, shares progress and flags risks early. Dates and responsibilities are confirmed for each order, with essential quality checks built into the schedule.

Set your acceptance criteria
FOR BRANDS · SUSTAINABILITY & PPWR

No hassle. Free of complexity.

A single project lead coordinates the specialists, milestones and evidence needed for your packaging programme.
Your team approves the specification, costs and key decisions.

01 / ONE DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Turn your product idea into a clear plan

Bring your packaging challenge, component drawing or product idea. We turn the requirements for performance, appearance, cost and delivery into a coordinated plan for formulation, design, tooling and trials.

02 / EVIDENCE THAT TRAVELS WITH THE PRODUCT

Get the evidence your team needs

Give your team a clearer basis for product review. We bring together material specifications, composition information, supplier documents and relevant test results, and identify missing evidence early for your technical and regulatory advisers.

03 / PRODUCTION & AFTER-USE PLANNING

Plan for production and life after use

Plan manufacturing, quality control, logistics, collection and recovery together. Assess reuse, recycling or industrial composting against the product’s requirements and the infrastructure available in its destination market.

Mono-material packaging

Could a simpler material structure work for your packaging? We explore mono-material options alongside barrier needs, sealing, labels, closures and production requirements. The aim is to simplify the pack while protecting the product. Recyclability must be assessed for the finished packaging and the collection and recycling systems available in its destination market.

EU PACKAGING · PPWR

Turn requirements into a development brief

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) generally applies from 12 August 2026, with specific obligations introduced on different schedules. The relevant requirements depend on the packaging and market.

Relevant topics include recyclability, recycled content, packaging minimisation, reuse and labelling, as applicable. We help coordinate design and evidence work for review.

Practical support for your packaging team

Keep your team focused on the decisions that matter. We coordinate the specialists, milestones and supporting documents, while you approve the product specification, costs and next steps.

Biobased content or compostability alone does not establish PPWR compliance. Assessment covers the finished packaging and the responsible operator's obligations. EmeraldPlast provides development and coordination support; compliance must be established for the specific packaging.

SUSTAINABILITY · CIRCULAR ECONOMY · ESG · SDGs

Design before waste. Responsibility throughout.

Make sustainability part of the product brief, not an afterthought.
Choose materials, design and manufacturing around performance, service life and a practical route after use.

SUSTAINABILITY

Think beyond the raw material

Evaluate renewable feedstocks, selected by-products and recycled-content options against the product's actual requirements. Consider material use, manufacturing, durability, transport and disposal together.

Biobased content is one part of the assessment. Comparative carbon or environmental benefits require a defined baseline and appropriate lifecycle evidence.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Define the route after use

Prioritise material efficiency, reuse and longer service life where they fit the application. Evaluate recycling against the formulation and the collection and processing systems available in the target market.

For selected short-life products, investigate certified industrial-composting pathways where suitable collection systems and facilities that accept the product are available. A material label alone does not create a circular system.

ESG IN PRACTICE

Put ESG priorities into practice

Environmental
Material selection, resource efficiency, waste prevention and evidence for environmental claims.
Social
Consumer safety, product quality and responsible manufacturing expectations within each project.
Governance
Clear specifications, traceable documentation, defined responsibilities and transparent reporting of test scope.
